Grand Rapids Community Foundation received significant interest in the President and CEO role, for which active recruitment began in August.
The Search Committee, made up of current and former Community Foundation Trustees and volunteers, met with a competitive, diverse and experienced group of candidates as the next step in its evaluation of the interested applicants. The committee's work continues as they engage leaders in discussions about this important community role and follow the decision making process that has been outlined.
Kittleman & Associates, the search firm contracted to support the executive search, partnered with the Search Committee to outline a deliberate process for the President and CEO search. Earlier this year, they together developed a detailed search strategy, a benchmark calendar and a comprehensive Position Guide outlining the opportunity. The Position Guide, in particular, was informed by interviews with staff, stakeholders, Trustees and other partners. Insights shared during these meetings were critical to understanding of the future needs of the Community Foundation and our community, and outlined the skills and experiences that will ensure the success of the next President and CEO.
The Board of Trustees will make the final selection and offer to our next president and CEO, which is expected later in 2023.
