For the remainder of 2009 and all of 2010, Grand Rapids Community Foundation is proudly sponsoring the broadcast of StoryCorps West Michigan. Broadcasts are on WGVU radio each Friday 10:04 a.m. and 12:36 p.m. at FM 88.5 and 95.3. The stories were recorded in the fall of 2009 during a four week period when the national StoryCorp travel trailer was in town. StoryCorps travels the country facilitating and collecting interviews between people about ordinary and extraordinary life events. All stories become part of a collection at the Library of Congress, some are broadcast on National Public Radio and 50 plus will be broadcast on WGVU.
