What Heather does:
Heather works with the vice president of strategic communications to develop and implement communication strategies and tactics to connect and engage the Community Foundation’s various audiences. Her focus areas include the editorial calendar, digital communication, events collateral, internal communication, organizational brand materials, and nonprofit partnership storytelling. Heather creates print and digital content to advance the Community Foundation’s strategic goals.
What she did before:
Heather was previously the General Manager of The Rental Company in Holland, Michigan. She currently serves on the board of directors for CommA: Community Foundations Communication Professionals. She served five years on the board for the Holland/Zeeland Young Professionals and three years for Lighthouse Immigrant Advocates. She received her bachelor’s degree from Hope College and earned a master’s degree in strategic communication with a certificate in organizational communication for leadership from Michigan State University.
