What Chantal Does:
As program officer, Chantal is responsible for facilitating resource allocation by community committees of existing specialty funds including the Nonprofit Technical Assistant Fund, Veterans Fund, Access Camps, geographic affiliates, Black Legacy Fund, Somos Comunidad, and Our LGBTQ Fund. She will lead the activities of our Youth Grant Committee and play a supportive role in informing strategic opportunities and connections between the Foundation and our community partners at grassroot levels.

What Chantal did before:
Chantal spent 2 years+ as a design associate for Public Agency at WMCAT – a community design consultancy – leading custom project work and multi-sector collaboration using Design Thinking methodologies with a community-centered approach. Prior to that she ran her own professional photography business, volunteered on the GREDC Board, and facilitated an underground Supper Club focusing on chefs of color in order to share traditional cultural dishes in a curated setting.

When Chantal isn’t working:
She is hanging out with her family, trying out new restaurants or getting friends together to share a good meal, doing something outside and active (usually searching for or being in the sunshine), and yoga + meditation.
